Poetry
There are lots of reasons why poetry should maintain a place in your ever-packed curriculum. Poetry provides pupils with permission to express their opinions on both everyday and important events, gives the opportunity to pause and reflect on matters of meaning far beyond the confines of the classroom and it can be a method of making sense of our ever-changing world.
Our expert teacher team has put together some suggestions for Key Stages 1 and 2 to inspire your pupils. From nature poems, to love and friendship to poetry from around the world, we hope there's something here for every class.
